A photo a day keeps the Doctor in play.
Outstanding! What a delicious discovery.
I took the picture in August, I think. I had been walking Bix at the Belvidere, a sort of Plaza next to the Ohio river in downtown Louisville, built over a parking garage and four lane highway. When I got back to the car, parked on the street, the moth was perched on the windshield wiper on the driver’s side, like a note or a parking ticket. When I reached a hand toward the moth, it fluttered to the sidewalk pavement. It was alive, but it seemed not quite right, perhaps it had crashed into one of the tall downtown buildings. I put it in an empty coffee cup, released it in the apartment courtyard. Don’t know that helped.
